About

Hi there! My name is Bill and I’m a bike customization expert serving the Washington, DC metro area. Whether you’re looking to build a custom geometry frame and fork, add some enhancements to your existing bike, or save a great bike from the scrap heap, I’m here to help.

I’ve been into bikes since I was a kid jumping dirt ramps on my BMX. My bike became my main mode of transportation in college, and over the past 25 years, I’ve participated in local races, rides, and mini tours to stay fit and enjoy the great outdoors with friends. Biking is a huge part of my life and I love nothing more than helping others get the most out of their bikes.

One thing you might notice about me right away is my height – I’m 6’8″. It can be tough to find an off-the-shelf bike that fits for those of us who are tall (over 6’4″), and that’s one of the reasons I started building bikes.

I’m mechanically inclined and love to create things, and building bikes is my passion, hobby, and way of relieving stress. It brings me joy to see others enjoy the bikes I’ve worked on. All of my welding is done brazing with a torch and gasfluxer, although I do hope to learn TIG welding someday. For now, I’m focused on mastering the techniques that have been used to build bikes since their inception.

If you need a job done, I’ll set a clear timeline for completion and keep you informed every step of the way. I know how frustrating it can be to be left in the dark when it comes to custom frame deliveries or updates. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out – I’m happy to offer advice at no cost. Thanks for visiting!
